Eric Doss Sensei has been training Aikido for 9 years under the instruction of Frank Apodaca Sensei (6th Degree black belt) at Mid-Michigan Aikikai. He was awarded the rank of shodan in June 2008, and the rank of nidan in March 2011. He received his Fukushidoin teaching certificate in 2011. |
Phil Mansour was first exposed to Aikido in the mid 80s at Michigan State University Aikido Club under the direction of Jerome Helton Sensei. He began committed Aikido training in 1995 at East Lansing Aikikai, a USAF eastern region dojo, with Mary Jo Hill Sensei (2nd degree blackbelt). In 2001, he began intense training at Mid-Michigan Aikikai, a Birankai international Dojo, with Frank Apodaca Sensei (6th degree black belt). He was awarded the rank of shodan in November 2008. Phil has trained at countless dojos of many different aikido styles all over the world (while traveling for work) and is grateful to all dojos and instructors who have graciously opened their doors.
